Remove factory radio

Remove factory radio

I need to remove my factory radio and navi. Is there as step by step somewhere that will tell me what needs to be done. Thanks

its real easy dude, pop off your trim and its only a couple screws to take it out, dont be afraid to try it

Ernie, I'd really like to see the process you used that only involved 2 screws!

My TL had a lot more involved.

The silver side trim is removed.
Then the center console is unscrewed.
In the manual, both side panels are removed which also means removing the lower part of the drivers side and the entire glove compartment. I only remove the drivers side.
Then the compartments below the radio has to have all the screws removed and just snapped out of the bottom of the head unit.
The top vents/display unit is removed.
Screws to the HU/display are removed.
Unplug everything, then the unit comes out.

I agree, this is major surgery. Trust me, I've done this plenty of times.
