Remote starter questions

Read the FAQ link on remote starters, but the posts are old. I have an 05 TL and was wondering if I still need to get a bypass module to install a starter?

Are there any recommended starters out there? I'm just looking for a simple starter, not really worried about alarms. If there's something good and not to exp that has both - that's fine too.

Thanks

I do believe that a bypass module is required. There are two types, one that requires a physical key which I believe many people use the valet key for this, and the other module does not require a physical key which is the one that I have. As far a recommendations, it depends on price and features. Don't buy the really cheap unheard of models, you get what you pay for.

I have the Python 4301P 950 (made by DEI) with the Directed (not sure of the part number) starter bypass. The setup works perfectly and the bypass did NOT require the use of a key.
