Ok, I've searched this forum far and wide but no dice.

I'm installing a remote start on my 05 Auto and I don't know where to look.

Anyone know the color and location for the tach wire?

Click on search at the top of the page, enter tach in the key word(s) box, highlight audio/bluetooth in the search in forum(s) box, uncheck the also search in child forums box, click on search now, and your search will be confined to only one forum.

If you don't get any results, you can expand it to all forums by checking the search in chhild forums box and search again.

 

While CMP sensor (Yellow wire off ECU connector D7) didn't work for me, there is a good chance that it will work for your application, because you don't need a precise measurement.

Or you could buy one of these for $75 and connect a whole lot less wires.

 

thanks, that yellow wire worked for me.

Those wiring diagrams don't have a specific wire color. I used 2 modules from bypasskits to do the doorlocks and factory arm/disarm and transponder bypass. I wish I would've known about the CAN-SL before, I would've used that.
