wondering if anyone has any personal reviews on a Python 991 (5702p) system. I have read most of the reviews online and all have been 4stars just curious if any 3rd gen tl owners on the boards have it or know some who has it or if there is possibly a better one for the same price or cheaper.

Also how long is an installation time on a remote start/security system usually take about 3-6 hours?

DEI makes Python, Viper, and Clifford. Each brand has a model that is exactly the same as a model from the other 2 brands. In this case, the Python 991, the Viper 5901, and the Clifford 50.7X are exactly the same.

I have the Clifford 50.7X. I added a tilt and a glass break sensor and installed it myself. It's a great system. I used the canmax400dei bypass/door lock module, but I believe they are now discontinued.

There is a DIY thread on this forum as well as several discussions of the Viper 5901. Just do a search for "Viper".
