I have been noticing a problem with my navi screen and wanted to see if anyone had come across this issue. I installed Dom's unit about a month ago and lately have been noticing the screen will get a red tint to it. It does this whether it is playing the factory navi/radio or playing the DVD player. It does not stay that way but may do it 2 or 3 times in a 15 minute stretch. It is very random. Anyone have this issue?

 

Sounds like you have a video signal issue. You can try reseating the video connections to all devices to make sure they are connected securely. If that doesn't help, try disconnecting the DVD unit entirely to try and isolate the problem. I have not installed Dom's unit yet, so I don't know if the cables configuration. You could also just have a bad cable.

 

make sure your connections are tight and that the power and grounds are good.

 

Quick update. It turned out to be a loose wire in the plug and play harness. It was a green wire. I wiggled it a bit and it actually came off. I emailed Kim and she sent me a new cable in a couple of days. Back on track. Great customer service.

 

I had a similar issue with my dom's unit. It became progressively worse, sometimes the whole nav video cutting out. Dom honored the warranty with an easy exchange of the whole unit.
