Recommendation for iPod integration

I was hoping someone could offer a recommendation for integrating an iPod with my TL. I read through the related threads I could find, but just wanted to make sure I was headed in the right direction. Apologies if this is covered somewhere and I missed it, and I'd greatly appreciate any help or advice.

I have a 2006 TL with navi, I don't use or plan to use the XM radio. It looks like most users were recommending uPac-Hon1, Dice or USAspec. I don't mind if the only way I can control the music is through the iPod itself, as long as the sound quality is good. I'm also not wedded to installing it myself; if there's a superior option that's above my pay grade I'll have some do the installation.

Just hoping to get an idea on what folks have bought - or would buy in this situation. Again, thanks in advance.

Mike

Most on the forum will recommend the iSimple (most with good success, some not so much). I personally have a Blitzsafe (available at enfig.com:

http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_s...LINK1_V2X.html

and have been using it for years with no problems (but you can't see the songs on the navi screen and the controls of the iPod are via the iPod itself). I also use a scosche brand RF remote to operate the iPod from the steering wheel.

I would research iSimple on the Audio forum and see if it's what you want- for me the Blitzsafe is my preference. Most of the adapters are plug and play.

I also have an '06 w/ navi, and do not use the XM. When I bought the car earlier this year, I read just about every thread on here that discussed iPod integration, and also started one just like this.

I ended up getting an iSimple, and have been very happy with it to date. It does do some flaky things every once in a while, but it's not often enough that I regret buying it.

I used the usa spec unit as well and everything displays on the screen as well as charges, controls, and works with sw controls. Sounds great too!
