Arrow Razr Reception and Question

Is it necessary to have the clamshell open to use the phone when bluetooth is activated in the car.

I have a Sony 610 and although I like the phone I am hoping a Razr might get me a little better signal based on a couple of posts I have read here.

Thanks in advance for input.

That is negative. You can keep the clam closed anywhere in the car. My RAZR works flawlessly with the HFL with reception meter and caller ID displayed on the MID. No battery meter though.

The T610 is a great phone...However, if you want to look into replacing it, I highly recommend the K700 for a couple reasons:

1) firmware updates can be done at home so no down time sending your phone to get upgraded.
2) It has a flash on the camera...of course I never use this "flash" feature but I do use it as my flashlight and does a great job for that bright LED.
3) Reception is amazing...I would put any current model Sony Ericsson phone up against the RAZR in call quality and reception but that is for my area as well as Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico.

K750 will be 900/1800/1900 as far as I know. Since T-Mobile dropped their SonyEricsson lineup (note: F'N IDIOTS!) I guess they won't be carrying it. Also, since the K750 won't have 850, not good for cingular either. ah well...
