Radio stuck in phone mode

I was unable to disconnect my phone connection. It is stuck in phone mode. I cannot use my radio and the read out on my dash says "in use". I tried removing the fuse for my radio but it's still stuck. Any suggestions?

I didn't disconnect the battery because I thought it was bad for the computer on board......that's what Sears told me when I had to get a new battery and they temporarily hooked me up to another battery while they were replacing the old one. They said it screws up the computer if you totally disconnect the power.

that's funny...I've never heard that before. It does reset things and most of the time it's for the better. Make sure you have your radio and Nav code before doing it and let it sit for 15+min before reconnecting.

Remove the fuse for the interior lights to reset the HFL. The HFL module is up by the reading lights and HomeLink buttons, so it draws power from that circuit.

Did it work?

The same thing happened to me about a year ago on my way to work. I turned the engine off and took the key out then turned the car back on and still didn't work. Then I was like fk this I'll look into fixing it after work so I locked the car and left. When I came back 8 hrs later I started the car and it was all fine like nothing happened

It worked! Thanks!! I removed and replaced fuse #6, which is also for the interior lights. All I had to do after that was enter the radio code. I tried the HFL right away and that worked too, but I am a little hesitant to continue using it. Something made it stop working in the 1st place. When I read some of the other posts, it seemed quite expensive to replace the HFL module. It's not worth it to me, I'd rather have my radio/cd and use a wired or bluetooth ear piece.

I stopped using my HFL a long time ago. I know it is supposed to help you when driving and be safe but imo it is too much of a hassle and probably makes driving less safe becuase you always have to yell and get distracted at the HFL system because it fuks up all the time lol. "Call Sean" ... "dialing 0 8 0 8 0..." ... "FFFFKING POS"
