Not sure where you live since I'm on my phone but how cold is it where you are? It's freezing cold in most of the country and mine does that too but once the cabin gets warm it goes away. May or may not be your issue but just a thought

Checked antenna connections both behind the radio and in the back window everything is fine , what else could be causing no music and just static...??

Sounds like a radio receiver problem. Receivers are very sensitive to ground interference. If you have a radio sound quality problem where all other functions work well, I'd start looking at any ground point the ties back to the radio power source or antenna wiring. If not the ground, then check the capacitor on the radio ground connection. The capacitor is there to reduce transients in the antenna signal.

Is the capacitor the device that's located behind the panel,on the drivers side back . I got to the back of the radio and tested with another antenna, there was still static. Do you think its the radio or reciever that's bad??
