Radio replacement

I have an 04 acura to w/ navigation & my radio crapped out. I was planning on replacing it with another factory radio, but I was inquiring if it matters if I use a radio that was with a navigation unit or not.

You need a radio with the same number on the cassette player door. Not all are compatible with every year TL

If your wanting to stay oem Jessie Levi Kelley on 3rd gen FB pages does a radio mod that would upgrade it over just buying a used radio and sticking it.

Yeah I made that mistake. I have a 04 TL and I bought an 05 radio and every thing works except for the phone (HFL) part. When you press the phone button on the steering wheel nothing happens. no big deal for me though.

Thanx for the info, I ended up replacing my radio w/ the same model number as the cassette door on my previous radio.
