remove the battery cable again for 30 minutes and put back on. Then it will ask you for the security code, if you do not have it, you must go to the dealer and get it. After that, all should be good.

the radio will reset and ask for a code if power is lost for over 30 seconds or something of the nature. Try seeing if it asks for a code after doing this.

Just for clarification, the lights on the radio turn on with the headlights, but it does not turn on to give out audio, right?

Lets just clarify your setup:
1. Where did you get the signal for the subs?
2. Where did you get the trigger wire from?
3. Did you install anything other than the subs and the AMP, like speakers or new tweeters?
4. Is the factory AMP still there in the car?
5. Do you have a factory navigation system?

its that trigger wire you tapped into. If you hooked it up to the subs, then it's not sending the proper power for the other stuff to turn on.
