Radio Code/Pull fuse to get serial number?

I cannot find the radio code for my car anywhere and I want to have it just in case I ever need it. In the manual it says there is a way to pull a fuse so that when you turn the radio on it will say CODE and then there is a sequence of buttons you can press for it to reveal the serial number for the unit which is what you need to give the dealer to retrieve the 5 digit radio code.
LONG STORY SHORT...
My question is, when you pull the fuse to get the radio to request the code, do you lose all radio presets for FM and XM?
Thanks for any info.

Turn radio off. Hold 1 and 6. Turn it back on. Write down the numbers after the letter and head to the dealer or use the Honda Radio Code site.
Or look on the side of the glovebox there might be a sticker containing the serial number.
Or... Look in the maintenance journal. The first couple of pages might have your radio code.

Okay, so I tried that method and it didn't work.
NON-NAVI UNIT.
I turned the radio off. Held down 1 & 6. Tried turning on the radio but it would not come on while the buttons were held down. After turning it on, there was no code.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any information.

Keep Right Except to Pass
Register with Acura's OwnerLink website and retrieve the radio code there.
http://owners.acura.com
After you register, click on "Retrieve Radio/Navi Code." It may not allow you to do it immediately.

Yes, that's what I am doing. It asks for various information. One of the things it asks for is on the card that I do not have. That's why I need the serial number to get the radio code on the My Acura site. Thanks for the advice, guys
