Radio buttons seem to be hard to press..krispity, crackity, crunchity!

I was just wondering if anyone else here experiences the buttons on your radio being hard to press...

I really doubt anything was spilled on my radio but the buttons definitely are not quiet and easy to press....i spent about 10 minutes presseing each button over and over trying to "work" them free of their krispity crackity crunchity feel...

thats the best way to describe it...after a while they seemd to get better but later on when I came back to my car the next day or whatever they go right back to the Krispity Crackity Crunchity feel....

BTW thanks Kat Williams for the material...I finally found somewhere to use your material hahaha

Are you sure nothing splashed on the buttons? Sounds like perhaps something with sugar.

I cant be sure...bought the car with 67k miles on it...it was REALLY clean but the dealer could have covered it up. I seriously doubt anything was spilled on it unless they were REALLY clumsy but I have learned to never assume anything...becuase anything is possible. I dont even know if my in dash player works yet becuase I havent had a cd put inside to test it...radio works fine...hands free works too...Xm works but i dont have a subscription...other than that the car has no issues! hmmm well if worst comes to worse I could always get another radio...im aware of all the things I need to worry about...thanks for the quick responses!

There must be some sort of electrical contact spray you can spray in there to clean it up. Not sure what kind though. Perhaps someone else can chime in here........

I was just thinking, perhaps some canned air to try first. That would be harmless. And if that doesn't work, keep it for your keyboard cleaning and THEN try the electrical contact cleaner. Either way, good luck to ya........

wow very very weird...ok so im lazy and havent attempted the air can or electrical cleaner yet at all...today i hop in my car and am cruising down the road listenin to the radio...i reach over and hit the button to change the station...i went through all 6 before i realized that they were working perfectly...every single button now is not hard to press at all...before i felt like i would break it becuase the resistance was so strong...and it even sounded like it was physically catching on something with each press...

frickin weird...i wonder how long its going to feel great for...
