Radio(AM) doesn't work while audio does
I know there are similar threads and I spent a good amount of time doing research but I couldn't find a situation that is like mine.
So I have a 06 TL with navi (in Canada). So when I listen to the ratio (FM) it works fine in most area, but there are some area that I get static noise. In some area, the static noise is not that bad but some area is really bad to the point i had to turn it off.
And if I listen to AM then it gets static noise EVERYWHERE, so I can't listen to AM at all. CD and iPod work great. Also, my rear window is not tinted. So someone please help me!! The problem is driving me crazy!! Appreciate any info

The plug for the rear window antenna and the defroster are behind the driver's side rear quarter panel. Remove the inside panel with the airbag label by the rear window and you will see what Im talking about. When I got my car back from the shop once I had the same problems you're having plus the defroster didn't work.

Nope, it's the side piece. You pull the "airbag" clip out and the panel will pry off. Once in there you will see the two plugs, one for the heater, one for the antenna from what I remember from 5 years ago.

The plug in the headunit came undone?
The wire connecting the antenna to the head unit got cut?
Can't really think what else it might be.

Now that I'm on a computer and can see lol, the white one looks like the defogger. There should be another plug that goes to the glass. Try that one. I think it's higher up.
