Just replaced stock radio in 2004 TL (cd stuck) with 2006 TL radio now cannot hear promps from HFL any suggestions. Phone is displayed on center console but radio stays on.

 

not completely sure on this but i believe the radios on 04-05 are just a little different than 06... wiring is the same.. but different on the inside.. I know thats not much help.. but it might lead you in the right direction... JV

 

The radios have different part numbers, I think the wiring or logic in them has changed. You could always return it and find an 04 radio
