Questionable Bluetooth reception in car

I just got my SPRINT LG325 BT phone and I am not happy with the reception. I live in Cleveland and SPRINT works great for me here. But when I dial with the car, it sounds really scratchy (kind of like a blown tweater).

Another issue is the mic reception. When I first place my call, I have to say, "Hello" 3-4 times before anyone responds.

Anyone have these issues in their cars? I'm thinking about taking it in to see if this is normal.

I'm excited to use my BT, but my other cell phone Sanyo4920, has speaker phone and sounds better in the car.

No, I dont have the BT phone itself buried in the car. It is visible or in my breast pocket. But while trying to troubleshoot the poor reception, I would keep it on the dash to see if that is the issue. But no help.

I'm getting put off by the poor quality, and my return date for the new phone and service is 12/31/04.

Any thoughts?

i get the same problem...but this is pretty much normal...i have the V710 for verizon.....you have to speak with a clear calm toned voice.....and you can't be facing downard or else they won't hear you....its not really the reception that is a problem its just the clearity of the cars bluetooth installed system..

I too have gotten the LG325 recently but have not experienced any of those issues. The reception has been clear, even with the phone in my pants pocket. Of course when answering calls I would assume you would have to talk just as clear as you would when using the voice commands for the navi. I would try using another phone that has bluetooth and see if the problem still exist. It might just be the phone?

i actually paired it up to the SonyEricsson T608, and it kindof sounds like a blown speaker. Scratchy and garbled.

Might have to take it in to the dealership to see if that's normal
