I was just thinking about this today. It seems like most sealed and ported SQL systems are tuned around 33hz from what I can find on the internet yet most bandpasses are tuned quite a bit higher. I know it's probably apples to oranges but can someone explain why the tuning is different? If anything I would've thought a bandpass firing through the ski pass would need a lower tuning frequency since it won't have the trunk gain.

Looking at mine it looks like it wouldn't do much below 50hz yet it plays a 30hz test tone just fine.
