Question about these iPod adapters

Hey guys, I've been looking through some of these iPod adapters (isimple, pie x3, etc.)

if I install one of these, will it void my certified Acura warranty?

Also, same question about a remote starter like the viper smartstart system?

Thanks a lot for the help

All of those iPod adapters can be removed with no trace of them ever being there. I don't see a reason to worry about warranty issues.

As for the alarm, I am unsure maybe someone else can chime in...

Common sense usually prevails.

If you have an electrical issue, especially involving the audio system or the starting system, and you leave the mods in there and the dealer sees them then they probably will tell you they won't cover the problem. They bay be justified too since aftermarket items cause problems. It's rare but it can happen. I'd say your risks are small if you know what you are doing and install products with good track records in the year and type of your TL (AT/MT, Nav/Non-Nav)

On the other hand if you have drive train problems they can't blame your iPod adapter.
