Question about converting XM to Sirius

I have searched the threads a few times and couldn't find the answer to this question anywhere.I had a standalone Sirius receiver prior to buying my TL. I hate the XM in comparison to the Sirius. Has anyone installed a Sirius unit into their TL. Can you still use the antenna that is already on the car?? How hard of a install was it?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hate only listening to like 3 channels on the xm. Thanks

try this:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/sirius-conversion-using-new-honsc1-635585/

although if you're in the US, I wouldn't waste my time or money - you'll have merged content soon anyway.

If you're in Canada, then you may want to look into it.. it doesn't look like we're lucky enough to get the merge.

I switched mine using the HON-SC1 and Sirius SCC1 tuner. I did not tap in to the stock antenna and just used a new Sirius mounted on the dash. No problems and works great.

Why bother? See my other thread. Sirius-XM merged content begins October 6, 2008.
