Question about "Auto" feature for '06 TL Navi

Hi everyone,

Can someone explain how the "auto" feature for the navi display is supposed to work. I hate having to change the display settings to "day" and "night" everytime I drive.

I would think that with the Auto feature on, the map display would change when I turn my headlight on and off but that's not the case. Can anyone help!?

It should work the way you're describing. Try pushing the max button underneath your tachometer.

The "MAX" button acts as a toggle switch between having all the dash lights on full brightness and having them dim automatically when you put your lights on. It will also override the "Auto" setting for the Navi brightness. The purpose of the feature is to allow you to see everything if you have your lights on during the day because of rain or because you're on a two-lane road with passing over the middle line.

to fix this, put your headlights on and push the arrow buttons for the gauges down 1 time. THne the navi should turn dark. Turn the lights off and it should revert to day mode.
