So I've been calling, emailing, searching high and low for the best combination of firmware and flex versions. The biggest obstacle with the V600 is all of the updated flex files are made for European and Asian OEM markets thus any combination of firmware & flex will have its bugs. So far, my contact in California has the TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.38R firmware version with AT&T flex file and he says its still a little buggy but not too bad. So far this is the firmware/flex of choice but as I do not have a 04 TL in my posession and/or have TL's but no V600, I cannot test it out.
Firmware: TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.38R
Flex: SE6452AXXP10F9
If everyone posted their firmware versions, we can compare notes on what bugs are haunting us besides the obvious open flip, etc etc.

That means I won't see it for another couple days until my friend gets back from vacation. Originally Posted by pedalermike

I'm not a fan of AT&T customized phones...I could never help people because some of the menus are customized or "hidden" whereas cingular/t-mobile allow them. oh well. I'm not an AT&T customer anyway.Instructor
9.42R is just an uprev of the OS not the Flex. You shouldn't see any changes to the phonebook or menus unless you uprev P10F9 to something else..

I don't have any experience with the v525 but there is a lot of discussion on Howard Forums in terming of up-reving the OS. I don't recall seeing any threads about down-reving.

Great news that a fix will be out for the HFL soon. Any idea how will this version of the software be available to us?

I've unofficially heard that it will be offered as a warranty reflash for those who are having problems.
hopefully this can be done with the data cable and a download from the motorola site. I know siemens allows users to update their own phones from the website and the Sony Ericsson P900 has something similiar.

Pedalermike...
Please keep us posted on the 9.42 HFL fix. Being that it is a S/W update, I assume it will work for all V600 phones. At&T and Cingular?
Thanks again for the info...

You might want to PM pedalermike. I have come up empty handed as everybody is on extended vacation of sorts for the summer and don't care to read their emails from me. Ah well...Originally Posted by cullal
Any word on the update for the V600?

All I know is that it is in the approval funnel with AT&T as part of a larger software package 9.44R with better functionality (don't know what that is though). Seeing as we are running up to the end of June and with the change in versions, I suspect the schedule has probably slipped to mid July.
I spoke with HFL customer support about the V600 issue and they told me that they are working with Motorola to get software fix out in 2-3 weeks. They took my email address and said they would email me with instructions on how to get this fix when it becomes available.
