PXAMG installed in an 07-08 Navi TL. It works!

I have an 06 TL w/ Navi that I upgraded to 07-08 navi system. I had a PXAMG installed and working flawlessly. But when I upgraded my navi system to 07-08 (https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/success-upgraded-04-06-navi-07-08-navi-w-navtraffic-691376/) I heard that the PXAMG is incompatible. Well after fiddling around with it, I've come across an acceptable solution.

I know that some members have already documented these findings, but I think this deserves its own thread as it gives potential buyers a quick answer in the thread title.

The only thing I did to get it to work is cut a couple wires from the PXAMG custom harness. I noticed in the TL Electronics manual that the XM unit, audio unit, navi and display all communicate through this network called GA-NET. And it looked like the reason why the PXAMG was not working was because it was introducing conflicting data into this network when installed. Here are some illustrations:

Original GA-NET network

Modified GA-NET network

I removed the audio unit from the GA-NET by cutting wires 9 and 10 (orange) from the pxamg harness.

The benefit of cutting the wires from the pxamg harness is that it doesn't alter the existing oem xm harness. And if you ever want the pxamg harness back its original state, you just need to splice the wires back together.

So, the only thing that doesn't work is text support. The XM unit is still interfering with the PXAMG, so what ends up happening is when the ipod goes to the next song, the correct song title and artist are displayed for a brief second and then the XM text takes over. If I press the XM button again, it will refresh the display and show the correct artist and song.
NavTraffic and the XM receiver work. I even have the HD-radio add-on and it works, too. Steering wheel buttons work, too. You can also put the pxamg into aux mode and control the ipod from the ipod itself, but you don't get any text (not that you get text support in ipod mode either).
