Putting a system!!

Hey guys i just got a 05 tl 6MT Couldnt be anymore happy with it. I have a few questions. I am going to install a 2 10in w6 sub with a JLB gto1201.1 amp. Im attempting to do it myself and i was wondering do i have to take out the stock sub? Also its the non-nav, just has the stock radio, does anybody know thread that shows how to take it out? cause i cant find any that do. Also what wire size gauge should i use ? And any brand in specific ? All help is appreciated!!

Let me try to help u get better info..
I asked the same question as u n did not get any feedback. My advice to u is do ur homework, get ur self a budget to help u choose ur gear then come ask again w a better plan in mind. Don't mean to sound rude, but its just kinda how it works specially in regards to a topic that has been asked multiple times. Do some searches get familiarize w all the IMS n outs of our cars n u will notice the fellas will chime in once a plan is set. My 2cents...

You don't have to remove the stock sub. That amp will need 4 gauge wire - any kind will do as long as it is geared for mobile audio.

I have a sub in the trunk and have the stock sub still in the deck unhooked. I have listened to the bass with the ski pass opened and closed and did not notice any difference. I could make myself hear a difference if I wanted but when not trying I could not detect any difference. I use the HU's crossover which I believe is at 80Hz. The only benefit I could see to removing the stock sub is if the pressure builds in your trunk area becomes so great that you get more rattles from the deck cover. Place a soft material between the deck cover and the rear glass to solve most of the rattle problem back there when you hear it.
