I just installed some puddle lamps today and they were working just fine. I was driving along earlier and all of a sudden the dome lights and the puddle lights just turned on and constantly stayed on. I tapped into the fuse for the interior lights and I tapped into the correct red/green wire (according to the DYI for puddle lamps found on this forum) coming from the 5pin connector (dome supervision). Can anyone help in determining what the problem could be? I unplugged the power source because they stayed on even when I locked the car.

Cliff Notes: Installed puddle lamps, worked just fine for a while, now puddle lamps and dome lights are constantly on.

check the switch for the dome lights to see what position it in.

 

There is no switch. I'm a novice at this stuff. I disconnected the ground to the puddle lights and the dome lights behave normally and the puddle lights still stay on even when they aren't grounded, but when I ground the puddle lights again everything stays on. This is really frustrating.
