Programming home link

i have tried programming mine both ways that it tells you how in the owners manual with no success, is it possible that my homelink module may be bad? When i programmed my wifes Pilot it took me a while to get hers programmed but i have sat in the TL for over an hour trying to get it to program. the light will blink fast like it learns the code but no response from the garage door...any ideas?

I have the same issue ever since I bought a new opener (genie screw drive). The old unit linked with no problem. I assume it has something to do with the new unit having a rolling code rather than fixed frequency.

The only issue I've come across is the same one st_dot suggests. With the newer version of Homelink 2.0, the broadcast frequencies are slightly different so you can't program older cars with homelink to newer garage door openers with the newer security features.

Silly question, but I assume you're trying to program it with the remote, but did you try programming it with the learn button on the opener?

did you use the remote itself to program one of the homelink buttons first?

once you do that, then you need to use the learn button on the garage opener with the homelink button you programmed with the remote.

try linking it to a different button, i know my tl has 3 link buttons inside the car.
i tried this before and it did not react to the first link button, but works with 2.. i dont know .. maybe try that.

Yeah, that's right. This is necessary if your remote and opener use rolling codes. Good call!
