Problems with Phone pairing

I had a Samsung A 870 paired and working for a long time but in the last few days the car doesn't find it when I get in .

I tried to pair it again and it doesn't find it . So I tried to pair a new ZTE FasTap and it doesn't find it either .

Both were in discovery mode as I was trying to pair ..

Suggestions?

I've had this problem with smart phones and pocket pcs that were reset. Do a Phone setup list and see if your phone is still listed in the system. If it is delete it, wait a couple of hours (like over night) and then pair it again. If it's not listed in the system I don't know what to tell you.

Talked to a service manager today and he thought the control unit that handles the HFL might need a reboot of sorts so he had me disconnect the battery and join the terminals for 10 minutes to drain the capacitors then retry pairing .. no luck with either phone .. on phone will actually see the HFL but you can't pair the phone to the car .. you have to pair the car to the phone.

His next suggestion would be to have the dealr replace the control unit for the HFL.

Anyone ever had this done?

Dave I did this .. it says no phones are paired ... just checked again .. we did have the A870 working but a couple weeks ago is the last time we used it .

We aren't big cell users but the wife & I both carry one just for emergency purposes.

TY for trying

Jesstzn, did you ever get this resolved? This exact thing happened to me this weekend. I have already tried everything mentioned above and the HFL will not detect a phone. I tried it on my BB 8830 and my iPhone. Neither phone is seen by the HFL.

I know the phones are working because both of them sees the 3Sixty.2 when searching for a pairing device.

Also, does anyone else have any suggestions? Please let me know. I'm kinda bummed because this is the very first failure I've had with my TL since I've owned it.

TIA

Edit: i should also mention that both phones pair with bluetooth headsets just fine. Just not the HFL.

I thought it was a phone specific problem. I am having the same problem with my new Motorola Rizr Z3

The previous razor model had no problem connecting.

I tried to connect from the Phone, and it found the HFL, I entered the 4 digit code. The HFL said that a new phone has been found, but when I tried to say a name to the phone, the HFL always got disconnected.

I am going to try again this afternoon.

Did anyone find a resolution for this? I bought an '05 in March and the Bluetooth worked fine for the first two weeks. After a while it would not detect my phone some times, now it never does. I had my phone in my pocket while driving the other day and the HFL voice said "Incoming call..." as my phone was ringing which surprised me because there was no phone icon on the dash. I hit the talk button on the steering wheel and the voice said something like "no device found".

Any ideas?

Was researching this issue a little more today and came across this link which shows my phone (LG VX8700) isn't compatible because it won't pair with the 2005 TL. Funny thing is that I did pair it with the car and it worked for a few weeks.

Anyone else had this happen to them? Weird...
