Whats up guys, Im a new 05 TL owner. I just got my car last night.

Ok here is my problem. Im trying to setup my Blackberry Pearl to HandsFree Link. I push and say Phone Setup and it goes thru, then It asks me for the code then I give the code and it takes it, I put my phone into discover mode and both the phone and the car find each other, so far its going good. Then it asks me to name it, I say "Blackberry," when I say that. The car just beeps and nothing happends it goes back to the menu. On my phone it says signal lost. So does anyone know what s the deal? Appreciate you guys help.

 

Try saying a different name and see what happens.

 

I had the EXACT same problem severl weeks ago, with a Blackberry 8700C, BUT it is an HFL problem, not a phone problem.

They had to replace my HFL module, and then it worked perfectly.

Had the same problem when I went to set up my KRZR. It just kept dropping out when I spoke the name.

Answer: use a shorter name.

Don't ask me why this works.
