Anyone here have a problem with the navigation flickering??! Mine is flickering and turning purple and have scribbly lines like it wants to turn off. Was wondering if anyone had a problem with this and if anyone could help me out??

If you are in warranty and the issue is easy to replicate.... recommend taking it to the dealer!

 

Yea take it to the dealer if its under warranty...but be sure to remove the navi hack before you take it in and revert it to its original state...I had the same problem and they voided my warranty cuz I had the navi hack

Also you should clear the navi history (go to diagnostic menu, then hold the Menu button for a few secs and when the new screen pops up go to History and press Clear)

 

If you have any hacks, clear them. I can think of two issues, either the harness is loose at the LCD screen or the harness is loose at the dvd drive. The other is that either the LCD or DVD drive are going bad.

 

they said I voided the warranty, cause I have the dvd/navi bypass, dvd player

I have an '04 Acura TL. My navigation system has been working just fine but one day suddenly stopped reading my navi disc I have. It is all stock. I don't know what the problem can be and don't want to pay $95 at the dealer just for a diagnostic.

Has anybody ever resolved this problem? Is so, please help.

Eject the disk and clean it. If that doesn't help, the disk unit may be bad. That's what happened to me. Luckily, I was still under warranty. Sorry to say, it's about $2000.

 

Send your player back to Alpine to be repaired first. It's ~$150 to have them service the unit.

If it's the screen then I'm not sure what the options are.

 

So my Acura player is made by Alpine? Okay, I will check that out. I will take it to the shop to have it serviced.

It's just my disc reader. It is not reading my disc. My screen works perfectly fine. For some reason it is not reading my disc.
