Unhappy Problem with Dom's Unit - ghosting

I've had Dom's tvandnav2go installed in my TL since the beginning of the year, with no problems. Last week I noticed when it was really hot out I couldn't see the nav screen. It didn't matter whether it was switched to dom's unit for my mediaplayer or switch as a pass-thru for the nav. I couldn't get anything. Later on it would start working (lower external temps?). Now it doesn't seem to work at all, but I can see a light ghost of an image when I'm under shade or at night, so the image is there. It's just not bright. I disconnected Dom's unit and plugged the nav into itself (oem) and it worked fine.

Has anyone had this problem? Any bad navandtv2go units?

its solid state construction is basically fail safe, contact dom but also re-check your connections.... good luck

Check your connections. I have seen the ghosting before when Dom's unit wasn't powered/grounded correctly.

check the ground wires and reground if nessary. Where are you getting power for dom's unit? You should be getting it to a steady clean source. I used the center console power outlet.

You are correct datrman. No juice to Dom's unit all of a sudden. So I guess it's using whatever power it can get from elsewhere to give me the faint image. Apparently, the connector for power came loose from the wire it was tapped into. Thanks for your help.
