I started the car this morning and noticed all my presets gone. I also noticed my settings like bass/treble were reset. Could this have been a fluke? Has anyone else experienced this? Nothing was left on in the car and the car started right up.

 

Did you use your other key fob to unlock the car? If so, your presets, seat, mirrors would have been set for the second driver (or not set at all if you never set them for a second driver)

 

Dave, I did use the keyfob but I am talking about the actual RADIO not the seat or mirrors. The seat/mirrors were fine. But the radio lost its settings completely.

 

That happend to me twice already. All my XM station pressets were reset to station 1. Not sure what couses this.

 

How new is your car?

 

I bouthg the 2006 TL at the end of April. I only have 1200 miles on it.

 

I had the same thing happen to my 2006 within the first 4 month of owning it. I am now in my 7th month of ownership and it has not happened since those first two times.

 

they keyfob is also hooked to the radio presets

if you use keyfob #2 to open the car, and the car was programmed when the car was unlocked with keyfob 1, you will lose the settings until you unlock the car again with keyfob 1

I have a new 07 TL-S with maybe 1200 miles. The radio presets have completely erased 3 times in 4 weeks. For me it has not been a case of Using Key-1 and Key-2. The latest time was when I dropped someone off, got back in and radio cleared.

Not going from User-1 to User-2 presets.... went to dead stations.

Any tips on what I'm doing wrong or maybe I need a Software patch would be welcome.

 

Just happened to me this morning. Car was parked overnight, go in this morning and all presets for radio, and XM were reset. WTF. Piece of crap car. It should at least log a maintenance message about what happened so you know. Boo.
