Nice! I didn't know you could model speakers with separate slopes into WinISD. I thought it was just a sub type thing. Is there a free download of this? I'd like to load in my equipment and see what it looks like and what slopes would give me the flattest responses. Sent ya a PM...

Well..your PM box is full. So here it is lol

"Whats up. So can you model multiple speakers and overlay them with this program?? I'd like to put my sub mids and tweets and see what kind of peaks/dips I have (obviously not counting cabin gain...but still).

I never thought about the natural roll-off thing. My cx62 mids roll off naturally around 1600hz I heard. I've got them playing up to 3kHz but with a 24db slope. Maybe I've got a big dip around the 2.5-3.5kHz."

I'll send you a link to the program, its free. You can model almost anything. I've heard its not as accurate the farther you get from subwoofers. You can apply highpass and lowpass filters and you can see excursion at different crossover points and power levels.

The huge drawback is it does not calculate cabin gain. Its a very useful tool but now that I use it a lot I may purchase the version with cabin gain. If I could figure out how to take a screenshot I would be happy to model yours.

I'll be home in an hour, remind me if I haven't sent the link by then.

W6's: 65/24d
MB: 65/24db--2.5kHz/24db
Tw: 2.5/24db

Time Alignment:
FR Mid: 0'0"
FL Mid: 1'4"
FR Tw: 0'2"
FL Tw: 1'8"

Stage is wide and vocals sound like their coming out of the Center. I'm starting to like this where you don't run the sub up so high. It's still playing 80-90hz..just not loud. I HATE the hollow/resonance sound with rock that makes the system sound bloated, heavy and cheap.

Matt, I need to have you show me how you model slopes in WinISD. I'd like to figure out slopes and how they're overlapping, etc.

Its under "filters", I'll try and take a screenshot when I get back to the computer. I have the pictures of my IB install uploading right now as well.

A couple days ago I changed a few things.

Midbass is 90-1000hz 18db on the highpass but the big change is 6db on the lowpass. The mirange starts at 1000hz and 6db to 7khz at 24db. Theres a lot of overlap with the mid and midbass now with the shallow slope. Still trying to get a feel for it but it sounds more natural but the stage is not as focused.
