Possibly buying some amps....

But I have no idea what to do with them. I know I would like to start on some audio upgrades for the TL, and I've read through the FAQ somewhat but it seems like jibberish to me. Anyyyywwwaayysss

My brother in law wants to sell me two Kenwood KFC-W3013PS's in a sealed box for 150. It seems like a good deal to me, as I know Kenwood is at least decent quality, but I don't know anything about how to wire them up, or what kind of amp I would need for them. Again, I've tried to do some research but it just doesn't really make sense to me.

Some help, without being too harsh on me?

Thats not the direction i would suggest. You can take a look at my build thread to see what i did which i believe to be a most cost effective way to achieve great sound. Search for "mild grade fever"

What are you wanting to do? Just subs, front stage, budget, sound quality, spl, or both? It's been my experience that getting loud is relatively cheap until you get really serious. Sound quality will cost considerably more and a sound quality system that gets loud and sounds good will definitely cost a few bucks.

Just for the subs, there's the choice between infinite baffle, sealed, ported, bandpass.

Well I obviously don't know much about it, so I'm for sure not trying to drop loads of cash on this. But I would like an increase in sound quality more than just volume. To be honest I'm a little bit wary of putting in two 12"s because I don't wanna be one of those douches driving down the street with the bass thumping just for the sake of pissing people off. I would like some more bass than stock, but not too much. I'm more after clarity.

Like I said though, not looking to spend thousands on a system, just a nice upgrade from stock.

Also, wtf, I said in the title "about to buy some amps" like a retard. Don't know what I was thinking there, thats almost as bad as getting tints installed.

If your handy and you shop around its not that expensive to achieve your goals. I have $900 in my system including deadening and ipod integration.

That is pretty much retail for those subs if they are brand new. If he has an amp too that's one thing, but for subs and box alone that is high if they are used.
