Please School Me: Pre-amp sub -> RCAs
I've tried researching this but I couldnt find the answers.
What i would like to do is grab the pre-amp signal for the subs and turn them into RCAs. Now the RCA female plug i bought has a spot to solder negative on the outside, and positive in the middle. Does that mean I need a cable that splits the 1 plug into 2 RCAs for the sub?
Thanks in advance.

actually, these look exactly like the ones i bought.
negative on the outside prong, positive in the middle. My question is, to those who have soldered their sub input to rca's, are you splitting the 1 into 2 channels? Should I just buy something like the jl rca to speaker wires?

yes the JL cable is perfect for your setup. of you can just remember this when tapping into your preamp. wire both negative terminals to - subwoofer and both positive terminals to + subwoofer on the preamp. if not your signal would not be transferred correctly.
