Please recommend speakers for me.

I got a new 2008 TL and would like to replace all speakers.
I don't know much about car audio install. So I just want to replace all speakers and use stock amp.

I am looking for something I can do simple replace and play thing. No modification to the grill or door panel or running wires or anything like that.

Just take out old speakers and replace them with new ones. That's what I want to do. I am willing to use new grills if it comes with new speakers and it fits with existing holes any modification to interior of my car.
So what speakers would you guys recommend for each channel?

no purpose in upgrading the speakers if you aren't gonna amp them

get some nice compontents sets for the car and a nice center speaker. Get yourself an amp it doesn't have to be a monster of an amp. Have fun installing the rear speaker.

no rca at all

just plugged the speaker wires into the honda speaker adapter harness and they plug directly into the stock connection. no need to solder or run additional wires. wich is what the OP wanted.

and with all the compliments on my system from car audio competition WINNERS I think that my system is more than enough.

Sure i could always add an amp if i wanted more volume or an EQ if I wanted to be able to tweek the sound more. But i can control that easier and for free by changing the sorce of the music.

Now if you want Ear drum Busting loudness then yes you NEED an amp but if you are just looking to improve SQ then speaker upgrade is all you need.

Guys I got a new 2008 TL Type-S two days ago. It is an awesome car in all respects execpt for the audio. I was excited about the 8 speaker ELS DVD Audio system. Though quite a bit better than the stock system in my brother's BMW X5 it paled in comparison (I know I shouldn't have compared) with the aftermarket system I installed in my 1999 Honda Accord which got totalled. I would really like to upgrade my car speakers and Amp but I would still like to take advantage of the DVD Audio / Surround sound and not change the interior look of the car (in other words I don't want to drill holes for speakers or tweaters ... just replace stock speakers with better quality ones and I don't mind an amp and a subwoofer in the trunk). I am willing to spend upto a grand or even $1500. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, any input about the possibility of any conflicts with the ANC (active noise cancellation) and external amplifier would be great. I will post this message of mine in couple other threads to reach the 10 posts need to take off the restrictions from my Acurazine account. Please bear with me.
Thank you all for your help.

Looks awesome. But I don't want to make a bigger holes on the door or my NEW car. Maybe 2 or 3 years later when the new car smell goes away completely, then I might try that.
By the way, what is that thing called "Dynamat"??? I saw a lot of people using it. I guess it has something to do with sound improving or noise reduction. Does it make the interior of the car quieter? How does this thing work?

The amp does improve SQ even though it gets it's signal from the stock amp. I first upgraded speakers only and ran them for a year. It made a nice difference. Then I amped them and it was just as big of a change.

LOL I understand. I waited over 2 years before I unfastened a single screw on my car.

Dynamat is a sound deadening material that does many things. To name a few, it reduces vibration and quiets the ride, which causes your sound system to sound a whole lot better.

for the front and rear i have

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB65...owAll=N&tp=105

center

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB35...owAll=N&tp=105

Tweeter
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB10...owAll=N&tp=107

Odds are you can find them cheaper at another place but crutfields site is pretty good about giving accurate info

as far as the DIY you will have to look at door panel removal and rear seat/deck removal.

oops forgot

to install these speakers without cutting wires you will need the honda adapter harness crutchfield gives you them for free. tweeters will have to be cut spliced/soldered and require the the addition of some sort of noise cancelling circut put in line between the amp and the tweet (they come in the box with the tweeter you hjust have to put it in there)

Yes and if you the OP plan to install the speakers yourself i reccomend puttting in dynomat or equivilant while you are doing the speaker install. the rear speakers are a PITA to get to with you haveing to remove the entire rear seat and rear deck (trust me you cant shortcut it ) and its not something you want to do more then once. So if you even remotely are think about dynomating then save your self some time and effort and do it at the same time. I wish I did

I found this for door panel removal. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/front-rear-door-panel-handles-wstrip-glass-window-regulator-removal-3g-garage-f-016-a-603296/

Do I just need to peroform what is on the page 20-7 or do I have to go through page 20-8 too?

So you put the same speakers on the door and rear?
