This has been covered a thousand times, do a search. It's the active noise cancellation.

He said it happens without the keys in the ignition - I don't think the ANC is active at that point (but I could be wrong). Sounds like a short somewhere.

OP: did you install the amp yourself? If so, go back and check all your connections, make sure everything is tight, and make sure it is wired correctly. Which Line Ouput Converter are you using?
If you had it installed by a shop, take it back and get them to fix it.

It's soooo the ANC..... Kidding. I didn't see the key out part. That's what I get for drinking for the first time in 4 months lol.

LOC...which speaker is it tapped into?

Second...does the amp actually turn on and off? with ignition?

because what it sounds like is happening is that first the amp isn't turning off with the ignition...second...if the loc is connected to any of the rear deck speakers when you close the trunk...you cause pressure in the vehicle that moves the speakers..the closer they are to the pressure source the high the pressure is...duh...basic fluid dynamics at work here...anyways because a speaker is the very similiar to a microphone and it generates voltage when the speaker/cone voice coil assembly move...it acts like a microphone...which in turns sends the signal to still powered up amplifier and causes a loop...because now the subwoofer system generates the pressure to move the speaker that was first moved by the trunk...

it's really just feedback...what you need to do is if it is connected to the factory subwoofer leads...simply disconnect the factory sub at the speaker...and jackpot...no more microphone action...

hope that helps...

Ahhhh...the old fluid dynamic action turning the rear speakers into microphones and inducing enough current to turn on the amp and send feedback to the sub...

Never would have thought of that but it makes sense. I am obviously not worthy!
