Play music through handsfree link?
Im trying to find a cheep way to play the music i downloaded on to my cell phone (HTC Thunderbolt).
Anyone have any ideas? I would think there is a way to do it because it transfers call via bluetooth so how do i get it to do the same for music. I have an 05 non navi and no aux jack, and also sotck deck.

I don't believe any 3rd generation TL has bluetooth audio.

best option is an ipod/aux interface...$100-$150. I have the PAC interface and i use it with my HTC incredible all the time for mp3 and pandora streaming. I also use it with my Ipod as well. THe only issue is the AUX option must be controlled by the device itself (the phone) and not the car. ipod controls are done using the car.

I'd think this solution would be better no? Plug this in to the AUX and leave it in the center console, there is a power source there as well so get a 12v to usb and leave it plugged in so you don't have to worry about charging it.
Pair it up to your phone and enjoy, I'd say it'd be better solution then FM transmitter as the FM transmitter will require you to have it connected to your phone physically and sound quality in the ones I've used hasn't been great.

FM transmitters are rubbish: a horrible waste of cash. Justin hit it on the head. Acura has coined HFL and HFL only supports the HF (Hands Free) Profile. This Bluetooth profile is ONLY concerned with phone calls, not auxiliary audio. Think of the car as an in-ear Bluetooth headset.
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) streams the same audio that would otherwise come out of the phone speaker or headphone jack. New cars also implement auxiliary functions on A2DP such as track skipping (even works on Pandora).
Cheapest solution: Miccus Blubridge mini-jack.

I have one of these things and it is great. The only setback is that it doesn't support some of the additional features such as track skipping. Best of all, it ONLY uses A2DP and that means it doesn't interfere with the car's HFL. (Yes, your phone should be able to connect to both devices at the same time. Piconets FTW!) Eventually I'm going to bury this thing in the center console and run the button up somewhere on the dash so that it looks completely OEM.![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Edit: disregard my comments on transmitters, didn't see the dates of the initial postings lol. My bad.

Guys,
Looking to see if anyone has used anything else:
Cheapest solution: Miccus Blubridge mini-jack.
So I'm assuming this thing connects to the back of the stock radio where the XM would go, and you have to run a seperate usb wire to plug into the cigarette ligther?
Has anyone does anything differently?
Thanks,
Serge
