PIE not working 05 Candian TL with Navi
PIE not working 05 Candian TL with Navi
So I read that it would work, looks like its not working.
I have everything connected as it should be.
Since i live in Canada and its an 05 there's no XM radio, but the port is in the back, I connect the PIE adaptor to it and it has power (light is on on the input selector).
I read that you need to hit the CD/DVD button twice to switch over to the cd changer, I tried that but it doesnt switch over...
Can somebody help me out?!?!?! Thanks!

You did not indicate which PIE unit you installed but this site indicates that PIE HON03/PC-SON should work. You will not have any control of the auxillary device (mp3 player?) from the factory head unit.

It looks like you have this item: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piex3auxconv.html The information on this item indicates:
IMPORTANT: Must have functioning factory satellite tuner, or an externally mounted (not an in-dash) factory CD changer or the rear seat entertainment system (RSE) for the X-3 to function. If you have the CD changer (and not satellite or RSE), the CD changer must be running with a CD playing in order for you to hear the auxiliary audio plugged into the X-3 system.
According to this, it will not work on your headunit as you do not have a satallite tuner or an external CD player. Even if you had the external CD player, it indicates that the CD Player must be playing in order for this PIE to function. Doesn't sound like something I would purchase?
