Picked up the v710 :) hax0r time?
I picked up my Motorola v710 yesterday.. and I must say it's pretty schweeet.
After reading "phonescoop.com" reviews I figured it would fall apart, the camera would blow up, the keypad would fall off, the earpiece wouldn't work, bluetooth would cut-out, and the battery would last a second...
Not!
So far the phone has been great and the HF link on the Acura is a dream.
Hey GotJazz,
I think it's time we start hacking the phone some more.
Have you explored the 00**testmode* and 00**testoff* secrets yet in the v710?
I'm sure there are a few things we can uncover in the phone. Rumor has it you can enter test-mode and grab the GPS coords.
Glad to be back on the forum

Looking online.. there seems to be **83786633 (testmode) *
and also.. a setup (73887) mode.
There are some sites with the config tool.
If I can find an English site with the config tool I will post it here.

Highly Programmable - As with most Motorola phones, there is a lot of room to hack settings. The v710 has a secret programming menu (accessible via Menu + 0 + 73887 + *) allowing you to tweak many settings and even enter test mode, which provides - among other things - some GPS diagnostics. If you happen to have a copy of the Motorola PST, you can do a lot of serious programming on the phone.
