I have an 06TL and plan on using PIAA 9006 Ion crystal bulbs for the fogs. Anybody hear about PIAA bulbs melting the factory harness? I know they are rated for 55w, but just wanted to hear any opinions of actual users. I used to put nokya or those other knock off brands but they probably lie about their output...those always melted my factory harness and wiring. Just never used PIAA's before and figured they are a reputable company that wouldn't put out a bulb that could damage your vehicle.

Any comments?

 

Oh btw...I used those other cheap brands in my other car...NOT my new TL!

 

I am using PIAA (not what the spec is right now) for my fog like....it work great...I been using for a long time...luxury car like the TL has a good headlight system so I don't think it will melt it down....but if you put PIAA in a low end car then yea I would worry....

 

I just installed the PIAA HB Ion crystals in my 06 TL....they have been working great after a couple weeks and they look great....but they dont look as yellow as i expected....the headlight seems to give off a yellow/whitish light with a purple reflective tint....still nice tho. Let me know if you want pics.

 

YES PLEASE POST SOME PICS. I JUST INSTALLED THEM AS WELL IN MY FOGS AND THOUGHT i WAS THE ONLY ONE NOT SEEING THE YELLOW FROM HEAD ON. i ALSO EXPECTED THEM TO BE MORE YELLOW.
