Phone pairing issues - Samsung Reality

I recently bought the Samsung Reality (Verizon) because Acura said it works with the HFL. In fact it said that all options work with that phone. NOT!!! I've tried multiple times in many different ways and neither the phone nor the car see each other. My old Razr can STILL link with the car after I've had the service discontinued on it. I got excited one day when I thought my Reality had paired itself with the car on it's own. Hopes were dashed when I realized I had my old Razr in my pocket turned on. Now I''ve extended my contract for 2 years for absolutely nothing. Anybody want to buy a brand new Reality!!!

Possible solution to pairing problem w/ Samsung Reality

Bought Samsung Reality and had pairing issue. Took car to dealer who said the auto pairing feature under the bluetooth setting needs to be set to off. Will not pair if set to auto. After changing the setting, the phone paired and is currently working. Good Luck.

I realize I am super late with a response, but the Samsung Reality will pair with the HFLink. These directions were found on Acura's website:
http://www.acura.com/HandsFreeLink.aspx

Instructions for Pairing
Samsung U820 Reality with 2007 TL w/Navigation

1. Power on the phone and ensure Bluetooth® is ON. Please refer to your phone's user guide for steps to turn on Bluetooth
2. Press and release the TALK button on the steering wheel and wait for the "beep" before you speak. Repeat this step before all spoken commands
3. Say "Phone Setup"
4. Say "Pair"
5. Say any 4 digit PIN code for pairing. Remember it as you will need to enter it into your phone later. Some phones have a pre-set pairing code of "0000". Please consult your phone's user manual to see if your phone has this requirement. HandsFreeLink will now instruct you to begin the pairing process in the phone

On The Phone

6. Go into the main menu
7. Go into Settings & Tools
8. Go into the Bluetooth Menu
9. Turn Bluetooth ON
10. Search for a new device
11. Select the device to pair with
12. Enter the Passkey & press Done
13. Select "Always Connect" for the security setting when prompted
