Phone being used without HFL?

Has anyone ever noticed that if a paired BT phone is being used in the TL while not actually being dialed or answered via the HFL, it still locks the display as if it were? I find this quite annoying when my gf is in the car using her phone (I don't have a BT phone yet, damn 2 year contracts!)

First thing, is your gf's phone paired to the TL? I take it you are referring to the center console display? If the phone is paired you will see the display when the BT is turned on. Once you turn it off (BT) the phone is not displayed.

Yes I mentioned it was paired in the OP. And no, I mean the MID. Also what do you mean when BT is on or off? Do you mean when bluetooth on the phone itself is disabled?

On my Motorolas, I can turn BT "OFF" or "ON". When my phone's BT is on, it will search for the HFL. When found, it will link and display the icons on the center console. I turn it off when I exit the vehicle as BT tends to drain the battery. I'm pretty sure Nokia has this feature.
