The Nokias will not show battery or signal strength.

The V710 with the new firmware update displays battery and signal strength. But Verzion also disabled some of the capabilities of the phone.

yeah, the MID doesn't the battery meter or the signal strength of my v710... doesn't bother me much. i keep my phone clipped to the visor anyway.

how do you like the V710 with the new firmware? i had that phone the first day it came out and i had to replace it 3 times because of low volume. i live in N.Y. and i could barely hear the other person when i was outside. the volume raised to its max was like any other phone at the lowest.

I haven't encountered any major probs with it. After the firmware upgrade, battery and signal strength were displayed on the MID. I think I dropped one call and it may have been in the area I was in. Other than that, reception and voice clarity is excellent. With the upgrade, they fixed some problems and at the same time disabled a few capabilities of the phone.

The volume prob you mentioned, I don't know what would cause that. I understand Verzion is introducing a couple of new BT phones sometime this summer (that's the word on the forum).
