Angry Peripheral problem

A couple of wks ago I took my 04 non-navi TL for a dash replacement, the Acura service disconnect and reconnect my iPod interface by connecting the XM cable to the interface plug, of course the system does not work. I removed the radio and reconnect the interface Peripheral plug to the head unit XM input (lower corner, right?) but nothing happened, even the radio does not powered on. If I connect the XM plug to the radio, it works fine. What am I doing wrong?? My system was working fine until the Acura guys put their hands on them.

I might be wrong, but what about those 4(?) white pins on the back of the unit. I think if you flip those and put them back that it resets the unit....but don't take my word for it. There is a DIY in the Garage about installing the Peripheral that has a lot of pics and might help diagnose the problem.
