Periodic failure to pair Bluetooth phone

I keep having this problem with a 2008 TL where periodically when I start the car, it will tell me that "Starting the pairing process from the phone is not allowed".
I am not sure whether it has already lost the pairing and it doesn't like it when the phone tries to pair or it loses the pairing after the error message but the end result is that I have to re-pair my phone with the car.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? My phone is a Nokia N95.

Phone pairing headaches

Greetings!

I had the same issue- once it said it over and over for 15 minutes while I was buzzing down I-81. Wiping my settings and re-pairing the phone is a pain. I have a Treo 680 and it technically is not a supported phone. I find that my problems start if I use my bluetooth headset outside of the car and then expect it to find the TL's. I have discontinued use of the headset, and other than an intermittent issue of it dropping the HFL while a call is in process (sometimes I can 'transfer' and pick it up). I don't know if any of this will be of assistance to you, but the only other suggestion is to call the helpline through Acura for your carrier's phone. Your dealer should be able to give you that number- mine did.

Best of luck!

Is the N95 a HandsFreeLink-supported phone? If yes, you might consider having the dealership pair the phone for you.
If not, that would explain your issues. Check the HFL site within Acura.com to see if your phone is supported.

No, technically it isn't supported and I realize that's probably the reason why. I was just wondering whether anyone else is having the same issue and whether they might have found anything that woks.

Thanks for you help!!
