The item you have linked just takes the 20 pin harness and turns it into RCA jacks, maybe it's a Hi-to Low converter.

The 3.sixty helps tune the signal being sent by the factory HU. It provides an equalizer that has to be tuned.

you'll lose your center channel... or at least it wont be amplified. Some say its better to just amp your front channels and leave everything else passive. I installed a 360.2 and i tune it about every other week. Its perfect if you want to completely match the signal to what each speaker is capable of reproducing. It was a big headache to install. Overall counting speakers too I would say it's harder than a non-navi to navi conversion IMO.

It's pretty expensive too, got my 360 refurb from ebay 300 shipped i believe no problems at all. Also, if you're just wanting to add a sub an RCA converter at the end of the sub speaker wire will work great. hope this helps.

I got the RCA converter which is plug and play. No cutting wires. I wont install 3sixty but like to install 6 or 7 channel amp.

If you don't mind me asking why you need so many channels? If you can afford the 3sixty2 get it. Its really great to use if you know how to tune a system and all. Not that hard to hook up in a TL. I've done a couple already.

TL system is 5 channel plus subwoofer. I dont want to play around with the system too much. I'm just trying to get little louder sound out of factory system. When windows are down, you can barely hear the stereo.

For adding a sub would this work? It seems alot simpler than anything else I have seen.

The main thing you guys aren't realizing is that the 360 cleans the dirty signal coming out from the oem amp giving you a clean sound to the amps. 20 dollar locs will never be able to do that. Why do you think this thing goes for 400 bucks? You get what you pay for. I started with locs and ripped them out after 4 months. 360 all the way.

I see you installed a 360.2 but can I get just the 360?

You can get the 360 .1 for less money but it doesn't have all the features the 360 .2 has.

What are the main differences?

I want to do the install once. I have Dom's unit sitting at home. I have couple of amps and a sub. I have the converter already. Just dont want to spend crap load of money either. I'm not crazy into bass like when I was younger. Just looking for little bit louder system. Stock system sucks in my TL-S.

the main difference is the fact that the 360.2 has 31 bands for each speaker and you can tune it more.
