Pairing a Samsung Galaxy S4

I have a 2005 TL base and I cannot for the life of me get my new Samsung Galaxy S4 to pair to the handsfree link. Has anyone had any luck doing this with this phone.

I got mine to work.

Press the talk button on the steering wheel.
Say "Phone setup"
Say "Pair"
Say whatever pin code

While the HFL is trying to pair, you have to scan for bluetooth devices with your phone also having the box checked to make it visible. HFL should come up on your phone. Select it and enter the PIN, then the HFL will confirm that it's connected.

I don't know how many previous phones you've connected, and I don't know if there is a limit. But you can also delete phones you don't want to connect automatically anymore by saying "phone setup", and then "delete". Or "phone setup" and then "list" if you don't remember the names you gave previous phones.

I copied the following from the manual:

HFL does not allow you to pair your phone if the vehicle is moving.
For pairing, your phone must be in its Discovery mode.
Up to six phones can be paired to the HFL

I hope this helps

Galaxy S4 2005 Acura TL

I just CONFIRMED with Acura HFL Support that the 2005 Acura TL does NOT support Sprint's Galaxy S4. What kind of crap is that? Samsung needs to make their equipment backwards compatible!!

Start sending your letters to Samsung!!

This is the first (but major) negative I have with the S4!

Any updates on this?
I also have an 06 Acura with AT&T galaxy s4 and no luck pairing. I have paired about 10 phones before this with the same car and I deleted them all before I start trying for the galaxy. No luck.

walescare- if your phone does not see the unit, more than likely the unit is bad. many threads on this around here on how to deal with the bad unit.
