Non Navi conversion

I may be buying a 2004 TL without Navi. How much would it be to put in the navi system?

More than it costs just to find one with Navi.

This is very true.. as far as I remember a new nav unit can go upwards of 1000 dollars. Might be some wire harness issues etc. also.

Hear me OUT! Had 02TL w/o Nav and a Megellan(was great) bought a Pioneer(even better) w/Nav/Bluetooth on clearance 1year mod = 700 + install 150

I have an 05TL with Nav. It had a problem = 750 to fix

You'll have to pay whatever the cost of a NAV mostly likely from a Dealer because it would be rare to find it parted out. IMO at least 2k
Then you'll have to find someone to do custom install work to not to mess your dash up and make it look good. That will start at least 3/500. Hopefully you know someone with this skill or in good with a aftermarket install tech.

A. Just buy a travel size Nav like TomTom or Megellan
B. Get an Acura with Nav

I looked, waited and looked some more to find the right Price, Mileage Acura and then traded in my 02 for the 05! If you just like to have the car with that admendity great! But if price and mileage(or even color and wear N tear)is very important to you it might be a little challenge.
If you do find the car. Make sure you specifically get a warranty that will cover this item. Not a common failure but if it does you'll spend hundreds no doubt and be without for minimum couple of weeks!

You could also get one of those cheap chinese knockoff indash screens for a fraction of the price, and have a CARputer. I agree, the stock does look quite clean, but in the end the money is not justified for the features you receive.

Thanks for the feedback guys! But, i found a 2004 TL with navi! It seemed like it would be such a hassle to get one without navi & try putting one in.
