Non-Acura iPod integration void warranty?

My factory stereo is on the fritz (xm button and mode no longer available, doesn't power on intermittently, screen goes blank sometimes, etc)... Acura dealer offered to replace for free and ordered the unit, but I'm concerned once they open up the dash they will find my USA Spec and associate the stereo issues with the aftermarket work and not follow through with their warranty offering. Am I being paranoid or should I pull out the adapter before returning to dealer?

I can't say one way definitively, but I've never heard of someone on here having their warranty voided because the presence of an iPod adapter. For that matter, my service adviser knows I have one and we talk about the latest things I've done to my car whenever I'm in at the dealer and he's never mentioned a warranty problem with my changes.

Unless they show that the Ipod integration caused the problem they should honor the warranty.

I can't imagine an iPod adapter causing the issues you describe- that said, I'd remove it in a heartbeat- don't give them the opportunity to deny service based on an aftermarket part.

This might be off the topic but can installing any aftermarket like tvnav2go or carputer void you warrant?
