Nokia 6820 and Bluetooth

I had to of course go out right away and get a Bluetooth Nokia 6820 phone to synch up with my TL. Everything works perfectly, howver I notice the signal strength doe snot display. The manual said that not all phone display the signal strength.

Does anyone else have this same issue?

Do all Nokia phone not display the signal strength?

I have the 6820 & it's not possible. Same applies to all nokia's.

Do you have the enhancement settings for the bluetooth set to "ignition detector" also?

I have set it to on & when I turn on the engine it automatically connects, but when I turn off the engine it disconnects as you walk away.

If you would have done a search, you would have found this thread:

As stated in other threads, the information transferred by Nokia is by their choice and they choose not to send certain information via bluetooth. On the other hand, Sony Ericsson, you won't have a problem getting all the stuff to display on the MID.

Don't know if this is true, but I was told that w/a firmware upgrade the 6820 can display on the MID. I was told that to maintain warranty it has to be a factory upgrade. I haven't done it yet, but if someone has, please let us know.

Besides the MID I have no issues what so ever w/my 6820 and BT

Nope, firmware upgrade won't solve the MID issue. It is a company wide decision on their R&D part that says "we want particular information to be able to be transmitted via bluetooth."
