Many people have been waiting a while for this phone to be released. I figure there would be more than a few of them here since the phone has bluetooth.

Hopefully I'll be able to pick one up this weekend at my local corporate store.

 

6230b has been out since the middle of the summer. I guess it took Cingular quite some time to get it picked up. Personally, didn't enjoy the phone. When you scroll down to select an item, you have to push on the directional keypad and sometimes you hit a direction instead of selecting. Of course that's just my first rant about that phone haha. I'd wait for the S710a to come out for cingular and all will be happy.

 

You're right that it's been around for a while. Just that now you can get it through Cingular with all of their presets and whatever else they may have installed on it, such as AIM. More importantly, you can get it at a much better price. The 6230 is not for everyone, as no phone is. I just like the small candy bar style phones. This one is packed full of features. The only negative I can think of so far is not displaying battery & signal on the TL's MID.

 

the 6230 also requires a manual connect every time you get in the car and drops the bluetooth linke frequently, cingular updated firmware.... still got auto connect / battery strength missing / antenna strength missing / drops bt connect issues
